Mercury Tide is a German melodic metal band from the Ruhr area/Germany, founded in 2002 by vocalist and guitarist Dirk Thurisch, known for his work with Angel Dust.

Why? (2003): The debut album, recorded at the renowned Woodhouse Studios, offers a blend of melodic metal and atmospheric sounds. With support from musicians like Anders Iwers (Tiamat) and Stefan Gemballa (Flowing Tears), the result was a work that impressed both critics and fans alike.
Killing Saw (2012): After a longer break, this album showcases an evolution in sound, incorporating modern elements. Tracks like "Searching" and "Out Of The Darkness" highlight the band’s versatility.
Walls Of Confusion (2025): The latest album, released in March 2025, continues the tradition and introduces new facets of melodic metal.

Founded by Dirk Thurisch, one of the most distinctive voices in German melodic metal, Mercury Tide is the result of decades of experience and musical maturity. What began as a solo project has evolved over the years into a solid band, carried by strong melodies and heartfelt lyrics.
